EARLY LIFE & COLLEGE YEARS
Born and raised in Oconomowoc, WI, Andy Ziemann developed a lifelong passion for music and the power it plays in our lives. Attending “teen nights” at several clubs while in high school, he was “…always drawn to the dj booth, watching people react to certain songs and intrigued by the order in which sets were composed.” He found his calling, bought his first set of turntables and “practiced every day, learning the technical side of the craft.” His first performances came as a freshman in college. Going by a nickname he was more commonly known by, Quadi started playing weekly house parties and was soon recruited into the local nightclub and bar scene.

Ambition to dive further into the industry grew and shortly after turning 23, Quadi partnered with two friends to purchase a local venue, known then as Club Rhino. They found success and it developed into one of the top destinations in the city.

Choosing to move ahead while “still on top,” the business was sold after three years and Quadi returned to school, earning degrees from UW-La Crosse in Business Administration and Broadcast & Digital Media. Expanding as a dj, he started performing in larger markets like Minneapolis and Madison during this time. Quadi also gained experience as a radio host for Z93.3 FM and an on-air TV personality for the local CBS affiliate WKBT-DT.

NEW LOCATION & CAREER EXPANSION
— — —
Opting for a broader audience and a location closer to family, Quadi moved to Milwaukee in June 2010. There was “…uncertainty as to how I (he) would be welcomed as the new guy in a city already brimming with a roster full of talented and established dj’s.”

Unknown at the time, a collection of previously recorded material was already in the hands of several promoters and managers, leading to his first booking less than a month later. By year’s end, he entered into several residencies and built an annual schedule amassing to over 270 shows.
